I find that people never seem to understand me. I feel disconnected from the world and at times I feel that I'm just not part of this world and the ambience around me.

When life itself get hard,
When fate puts forth its heartless card,
Everything takes a turn for the worse,
An entire existence seems like a curse,
Tears stream down in this darkened place,
The uncherished and un-remembered face,
The empty hand that stretches out,
The days are dark with this darkened cloud,
Where indeed is the light,
Where is the end of this painful plight,
Incomplete and forever searching,
Yet alive and merely existing,
Pain is undying and hope is simply a word,
All that is felt is the hurt....

A flicker of hope comes glimmering through,
A friend or two,
A hand on the shoulder,
A hand to cross that hurdle, that boulder,
A pat on the head,
A kind word often said,
The small squeeze of affection,
The moments that try dealt with patience,
A smile when all else fails,
A figure beside when everyone else bails,
A presence felt, loved and much cherished,
For nothing more could a person wish,
As the best of friends mean a world of difference,
It spells joy, love, trust and happiness...

But once in a while, God looks my way and smiles down on me. And through the shine of his grace comes a love like no other and a blessing that I have never failed to appreciate. I thank God every day for the beautiful friends and friendships I have been bestowed with. And truly, this is a blessing I will forever cherish.
Dee
The nights creep silently by,
Broken by nothing but my painful sigh,
The darkness around speak of nothing but loneliness,
Void of emotion, void of joy, void of happiness,
In this darkness I see your face,
I feel your warm embrace,
I feel your touch,
Never have I wanted anything so much,
I feel you in my heart,
You're with me as my day starts,
You're by my side when it ends,
Chills down my spine your glances once sent,
Moments I cherished,
For nothing more I could have wished,
Losing you gave me pain I never knew,
For you anything I would do,
And if my pain means a joy you much need,
Then your hints I shall heed,
For your smile I would bear all the pain this heart can take,
For your joy my heart a hundred times over shall break,
You are still and always will be perfect to me,
And what you desire so shall be,
You could never disappoint me,
And one day I pray this you will see,
You will understand,
And at that moment I shall grasp your hand,
And love you till my time comes to an end.....

Yesterday, suprisingly, started pretty early for me. Its a Saturday and usually Saturdays mean I get to sleep till at least 8 in the morning (and yes, by my standards that means LATE!) And more suprisingly (ironic really) I found myself being awoken by none other than Jill, the person that usually sleeps till God knows when! I had completely forgotten about the fact that I had volunteered to help out at the Jumble Sale at Amcorp Mall. Frankly, getting out of bed was the hard part. But I had no other choice as I was woken at 7 45 and I was supposed to be there by 8 30!!! AAARRRGGHHH!!! After rushing around the house like a maniac and darting from one corner to the next half-naked (in my own room of course) I managed to hap-hazardly collect my things from all four corners and rush out of the house. After picking up Jill and Gee Ling (who had so sweetly made sandwiches for us all, and picking up my coffee~ you dont't want me at a sale in a grumpy mood mind you!) we rushed over to Amcorp Mall. I was secretly cursing in my heart as we were an HOUR LATE! After the car was successfully parked (Yayy Gling!) we rushed in a practically scoured the entire place only to find everything still shut! Suprised?! So much for being late!

There was no one there except for a nice old aunty named Jo and two other charming girls named Nelly and Baby (cute names but for their sake I do hope they're pet names) Jo decided to leave by 10 as there was no one around but Nelly and Baby hung back (they'd been there since 7 PLUS! YIKES!) Anywayz, soon everyone arrived and we set up the place real nice and people actually started crowding the stall!

We had tons of stuff! From books to toys to clothes! It was absolutely FAB! I had a fun time chatting with some elderly aunties who bought a ton of books for their grand kids and also but a couple of trucks! I had my eye on the Friends game set (which was practically brand new!) but the aunty decided to buy it instead. Sad me.. =( Oh well, at least it was for a worthy cause! I loved the color and the vibrance and everything around me! From the sparkly scarves to the little figurines! Everything was splendid!

Soon, Noelle and her boyfriend and Xiao-Jia showed up. Noelle soon disappeared with BoyFriend but Xiao Jia hung back and helped us all out. She was awesome! Jill tried on a bunch of stuff and so did Xiao Jia. I ended up buying two T-shirts. It was sad that I couldn't stay back with them as I had promised Shyam Akka I'd meet her up. =( But no regretz! I love Shyam Akka tons! We had a gorgeous lunch at TGIF and hung out for a bit.

By the time I had got home, I was beat! But amidst all that chaos and boxes and hordes of articles of various origins, it was so wonderful to see such love and unity between people that have never met each other before. Everyone there bound by a single goal, to help raise money for a cause we all believe in. Sometimes, a lot of people say that I'm being generous and kind and oh-so-giving for doing charity work and helping out wherever I can, but I beg to differ. Its these people and places that give me a chance to experience such joy and love and unity that I can get nowhere else! In fact, its not me who is helping them out, its quite the contrary, I learn to live for a cause, work for a cause and love the cause. Where else would I learn and witness such wondrous joys of helping and cherishing? Lovely Heartz!!!

I know I promised to blog everyday!! AND I MEAN EVERYDAY! But yesterday I had a valid excuse! I was trying to paint my nails! And I stress the word TRYING! The painting turned out horrid but the nail art sorta helped...well a little!! Check em out!

Thats Abraham Maslow's face in the back!! Wonder what he'd think?

OWH!! Its not clear enough! Oh well! Atleast Jill and Adie can't criticize it juz yet!! Heez!

I had an awesome day yesterday and the details are coming up in juz a bit!

Love love LOVIN!!

Right Here Waiting- Richard Marx

Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain

If I see you next to never
How can we say forever

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks

I will be right here waiting for you

I took for granted, all the times
That I though would last somehow
I hear the laughter, I taste the tears
But I can't get near you now

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me goin' crazy

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

I wonder how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if I'm with you
I'll take the chance

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me goin' crazy

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

I know I say otherwise and that I claim its over... But no matter how my heart breaks, if you're smiling out there somewhere, I'll take all the pain that this heart can bear.

Good morning MALAYSIA!!! oh wait, thats afternoon already... ah well... I'll save that greeting for another day then =) My Quantitative paper is at 3 and after slogging the night away, I finally half an ounce more of confidence. Now at that two the other half ounce from yesterday and my swaggering confidence is not at an once and a half. Yup, a little bit closer to the gazillion ounces more that I need... Baby steps =) The morning seems beautiful, what with the bright sun shine and the chirping birds... The only dark cloud in my day seems to be this dreadful paper. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this so-called beautiful day somehow remains just as beautiful throughout. I really don't need some creepy monster reaching out with its knobbly-gangrene infested fingers wheedling "I'm coming for u dee! RUN! But u can't hiiiiddeeee...." Yup, that monster is called fate. Putting things mildly, im not someone with a whole lot of good luck. Be it with the car (towing, accidents, car keys) my handphone (getting lost IN my bag~ this only happens to me, so you can ease up, dropping inside the car~ and I mean literally like inside the freaking dashboard where the mesh of wires and my fictional rats reside and of course the most common of all, EVERYTHING! From losing my bag, to being mugged and eventually losing my mind.... I think Lady Luck died when I was three.

But today, luck seems to be beside the point. Though my confidence hasn't peaked (will it ever??) I find that the little bit of surety that my hardwork has warranted has allowed me the glimpse of hope. Its only a glimpse or a slight glimmer of it, but it has nonetheless given a will to push my limits. Its somehow a motivation. A driving factor. Call me nuts and please get me help, but I can't help but actually LIKE IT-studying I mean. To be frank, I've been a bit of a dimwit (Okay!! I can hear the snickering- a bit is an understatement! I've been a MAJOR dimwit! Happy now?!) I never actually gave hardwork a chance, always writing it off as being too tedious, pretentious to a large extent cause people only opt for the harder way cause the easier one hasn't helped. In my case, I have been fortunate more than once as I managed to wriggle out to the road most often taken, the short-cut..

But hardwork and actual burning of the midnight oil, though in most instances, give us the most vexatious headaches, it actually gives us something else
. Something more subtle than those grinding migraines but more valuable. It gives us hope and spirit. It gives us a chance to believe in ourselves. In our abilities. It shows us that with a little bit of perseverance tinged with patience and laced off with determination, we have the cocktail of success!! Cool ain't it?

Well, I really ought to leave soon as knowing my luck, parking is going to be a nightmare! Thank god I still have my traffic light charm (wink wink* and yes my dears! IT STILL WORKS! Gratifying isn't it :P ) I do have a rather pressing issue that I want to get of my mind and I think blogging it would be absolutely perfect so I guess I'll keep it sealed till tonight!

Loving, living and smiling (for today that is :P )

P.S. who knew research methods could teach us so much about values and virtues?? Albert would be proud!! :P
